Drift and Depart, the debut collection from Adriana Elcena, reimagines the legacy of Abstract Expressionism through a Caribbean lens. The collection draws visual and conceptual inspiration from 1960s flight attendants. Reworking elements of retro air travel to symbolize the act of departure: both physical and psychological. In Drift and Depart, fashion transforms into a museum of movement and mood. Silhouettes drift like clouds, hues evoke the Caribbean sky, and construction mirrors the spontaneity of brushstrokes

The debut runway and exhibition showcase by Toronto-based designer Adriana Cadogan of Adriana Elcena.
This immersive event unfolded in two acts: beginning with a curated art exhibition spotlighting Black artists and photographers, followed by an evocative runway presentation.
